About Me

A lady of art and adventures, navigating life with a Great Dane in tow.

I've been lucky enough to experience some wild and adventurous things.

I've hung out with stormtroopers in downtown.

I conquered two half marathons in one year.
I skipped the 5k, 10k, etc. and just went all out to a half marathon. My first, in 2012, was the Blue Ridge Half Marathon, dubbed the Toughest Road Marathon. 7 months later, I did my second one, the Long Island - Diva Half Marathon.
I learned a lot from both, including how important cross-training is. Due to an injury in the second one, I had to play it safe and work my body back up. I've walked several 10Ks and 5Ks since then, but I'm not back to running a course, yet. Maybe next year I'll get to run that full 5K!

I can tell you how scary it is to run with bulls.
In 2013, I ran the The Great Bull Run in Petersburg, Virginia. Yes, you read that correctly. It was the first bull run to happen outside of Spain. I'm proud to say that I was one of the first people to Run with the Bulls...in America.

I've gone rock climbing off the coast of Maine. Prior to this, I had only climbed a rock wall once and apparently did some rock climbing as a kid. So, I guess you could say that was my first time...again? My brother and I hung ourselves off the rocky coast of Acadia National Park in Maine. And I would totally do it again!

I've been to the original A Christmas Story house and it's spectacular! - It's located in Cleveland, OH, where I visit family at least once a year. It may have been closed when I went, but that didn't stop me from taking a million crazy photos all around it!
